Liz Party

I was invited to attend Liz Birthday party on Boxing Day. During that night it rain which was a good and not so good thing. Good as it will cool the weather and not so good is because when we need to go to inside her house we need to use the umbrella :P But that night was a night I would not miss as Lydia Lim was there too. I haven't seen both of them for nearly a year as they have been in aussie doing their last 2 sem's there.

We started off the party with makan and prayer from Liz dad. Then it was makan time and I was sitting with Lydia and we were having a good time chatting about rubbish. Most of the time or can I say 95% of the time was rubbish and jokes. I guess like what Joshua say,"in the end, we don't really know which is the truth or not the truth". But it was a good time of chat. After that Lydia and I proceed to check out the fishes that Liz had at home and boy was those fishes hungry but Liz didnt allow us to feed those poor fishes.

We then started to chat more about some stuff that I promise Lydia I will share with her and we got many interruptions by different personals. Then it was cut cake time and take picture time and after that it was chatting time with Lydia again. I believe that Lydia & I were the topic for that night as we were called the paktoh couple. Liz then serve us cakes to check on us if we are misbehaving (I believe so).

In the end I did spend quality time with Lydia catching up and sharing my stories with her. But I guess I was there for the right and wrong reasons too as we were using other people's house to paktoh and not to celebrate Liz birthday :P Anyway to Liz,

HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY LIZ

We Are The Reason

We Are The Reason

As little children
We would dream of Christmas morn
Of all the gifts and toys
We knew we'd find
But we never realized
A baby born one blessed night
Gave us the greatest gift of our lives

We were the reason
That He gave His life
We were the reason
That He suffered and died
To a world that was lost
He gave all He could give
To show us the reason to live

As the years went by
We learned more about gifts
The giving of ourselves
And what that means
On a dark and cloudy day
A man hung crying in the rain
All because of love, all because of love

I've finally found the reason for living
It's in giving every part of my heart to Him
In all that I do every word that I say
I'll be giving my all just for Him, for Him

He is my reason to live

Have Yourself a Merry Christmas

Have Yourself a Merry Christmas

Have yourself a merry little Christmas

Let your heart be light

From now on your troubles will be out of sight, yeah

Have yourself a merry little Christmas

Make the Yuletide gay

From now on your troubles will be miles away, oh ooh

Here we are as in olden days

Happy golden days of yore, ah

Faithful friends who are dear to us

Gather near to us, once more, ooh

Through the years we all will be together

If the fates allow

Hang a shining star upon the highest bough, ohh

And have yourself a merry little Christmas now

Oooh...

Faithful friends who are dear to us

Gather near to us, once more, ohh

Through the years we all will be together

If the fates allow, oh yeah

But 'til then we'll have to muddle through, somehow

Oh yeah, oh ooh oh

And have yourself a merry little Christmas now

I wish I can go during the Christmas holiday's. I haven't seen Singapore Christmas lights for many many years :(

I wish in January the Christmas Lights will still be there. I will be there soon Singapore, hope you don't take away the lights :)

LOST

DUMC had their advance Christmas Presentation last Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I still remember the days that we usually meet up to practice our parts in the different song that we will sing during the event. I still remember the week of the show the practice was really bad (Sunday & Monday) and I even wonder if the show will make any impact to the people who are coming to see the show. Wednesday practice was better but boy we were tired after the whole practice. I will go on brief how the show went each day.

Friday show was not the best. The sound monitor was really soft and we could not really hear nicely what was really being played by the musicians. Due to that, we could not produce our best in the choir. Since it was the 1st night, not everything was at place that nicely. I still remember the rating that was given for Friday show was 3.9 out of 10. Dinner that night was fried rice with hot dog sausage.

Saturday show was a lot better. It was more organize and we had longer session of sound check and they made some modification to the play (background music when change of scene). There were a lot more people on Saturday night too. The choir also manage to give their best that night and the rating that was given was 7.9. On Saturday was the night that the rest of us only manage to see the real show as we haven't seen the show before. Dinner that night was fried bee hun with mini buns with tuna in it.

Sunday show was the best. The play was full of jokes and some of the parts where the actors were not suppose to sing they sang. Even though the song was quite bad, it was quite funny too. I still remember the part where the angles drop his feather and the shepherds took the feather and played with it. We in the choir nearly broke up laughing because of that joke that was done by the actors. Oh yeah a little girl smack my butt that day too. They were practically abusing me that day (4 little girls) as I mention one of the girls will be getting married with me. For dinner we had pasta and cheese cake. For supper it was on the church and we had the best. We had 6/7 types of noodles, curry puff, siew pau, coleslaw, mix vegetable and drinks. That night the presentation was at the very best and people told us it was 10.

Now I would like to thank all my friends that came for the show on the different nights. I know that most of you that came is quite shocked at the size of my church. I hope that you all enjoyed the show that was presented too. Well all of you are invited to come once again. Thanks for coming once again everyone.

You Will Never Walk Alone

Along life's road
There will be sunshine and rain
Roses and thorns, laughter and pain
And 'cross the miles
You will face mountains so steep
Deserts so long and valleys so deep
Sometimes the Journey's gentle
Sometimes the cold winds blow
But I want you to remember
I want you to know

(Chorus)
(Chorus)
You will never walk alone
As long as you have faith
Jesus will be right beside you all the way
And you may feel you're far from home
But home is where He is
And He'll be there down every road
You will never walk alone

never, no never

The path will wind
And you will find wonders and fears
Labors of love and a few falling tears
Across the years
There will be some twists and turns
Mistakes to make and lessons to learn
Sometimes the journey's gentle
Sometimes the cold winds blow
But I want you to remember wherever you may go

(Repeat Chorus)

Jesus knows your joy, Jesus knows your need
He will go the distance with you faithfully

(Repeat Chorus)

A Walk To Remember

Yesterday after work, I went to KLCC to have dinner with my friends. Jz a note to everyone, KLCC is starting to have Christmas sale and if I am not wrong the sale is from 30-50% off. I was checking out some of the watches as I like watches that have more instruments inside (3 dials inside). I was checking out the Seiko watches and my friend went to tell me this "don't look at Seiko la, not nice wan" and later my friend started to laugh and we walk out of the shop. Boy this friend of mine was really insulting Seiko and my watch too as my watch is Seiko.

We walk around KLCC and started to look at items that I could not afford but I believe my friend can afford as my friend is loaded with cash and things which my cost a bomb to me is nothing to my friend :P Then we had to choose what to eat for dinner and we ended up in Kim Gary. This was the first time I ever ate there even though the shop has been open for many years in KL. I ended up eating Chicken Chop rice and drinking Ice Lemon Tea. We had dinner for about half and hour till 45minutes.

Next we decided to see the fountain which is at KLCC as I haven't seen it before. So we went and get a place to seat and I have to say the fountain was quite nice. My friend told me that if there is the different color of the lights, it will look a lot better. I agreed, but to me even with the single color of light, the way the water dance (my term) was good enough. We then chat with each other while watching the fountain display in front of us. There was one part when we were watching the fountain there was a little girl with her father who suddenly sat beside me. I just turn to look at the kid and she was really cute and she was watching the fountain. Her dad knew that I was looking at her and I have to say, looking at her brought smiles to my face. So later her mum called her from behind to tell her its time to go, and she spoke in hokkien (translated to english) "The car reach already meh?" and I took the chance to speak to the girl as her dad has already left and I said this in hokkien (translated again) "yeah the car has already arrive". I believe I shocked the kid as suddenly she turn back and look at me and I gave her a smile as she walked away. I then continued my chat with my fren and the only thing that I regret is I didn't have a camera phone with me as if I had, I will post pictures of the fountain.

I then told my friend that we should have a walk at the park as I haven't done that before (I guess I created history yesterday by doing many things 1st time, walk the park, eat kim gary and watch the fountain). It was a 1KM walk and I have to say I really enjoyed the walk around the park as it was really quiet, it was not hot and I didn't have to talk loud to let the person hear me and the park walkway was rubberized. The walk was also quite a thing to remember for me. I have to say I really did enjoy myself yesterday night. It was worth going out and worth ever cent spend that night.
