Ipoh

Was in Ipoh from Tuesday till Yesterday and when I was there I really enjoyed myself. Work was extremely busy as we had to check all the computer's configuration. We really work out guts out till we were really burn out everyday. But the best part is we got a very good room to stay in which is super deluxe for a good price. My room had a queen size bed and 4 pillows. I was really happy coz I sleep with many pillows in my own room in KL.

Now the next best part is most of our meals were paid by the Branch Manager. All breakfast was in Hotel. The 1st night food was quite good, Wednesday Night I was out with my friend which food was good too, Thursday lunch was extremely good too. Thanks again to all my friends in Ipoh who bought us meals or snacks.

Monopoly

When I was a little boy, every time when I am in my cousins house, without fail I will ask them to play monopoly with me. It is one of my favorite games back then. Most of the time it is 4 of us who will play the game at once which is my sis, me, cousin and cousin.

A few weeks back, I had the chance to play monopoly game on my pc. It was really fun and the best is its on the pc and can be played when I am bored. Not only that this game is really addictive. Once you play it, you wont stop playing till you beat computer. Playing this game really reminds me of the time when I was really younger.

Super Fast Cars

When I was driving to and back from Singapore, many MyVi cars overtook me. I think each journey was more than 5 cars. I don't really know how they do it, but when I tried to keep up with them, they seem to to be further by the second. I was actually driving around 130-140kmh during that time. There was once I wanted to see how fast the MyVi was flying so I decided to touch 150kmh, but they were still far ahead from me. Base on my calculation, I believe that they were flying around 160kmh and above. Most of the car's that overtook me is without modification.

So those of you who drive MyVi, tell me how fast your car's can really fly. Would like to really know.

Fortune Cookie

Was eating in D'Fortune just now when I got a fortune cookie that says this

"You will receive a letter or a present from someone you love soon"

I was like "yeah ok" But now lets say I love A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I and etc, who will I get the present from? Stay tune to more if I will receive a present or letter.

George Carlin on age.

IF YOU DON'T READ THIS TO THE VERY END, YOU HAVE LOST A DAY IN YOUR LIFE. AND WHEN YOU HAVE FINISHED, DO AS I AM DOING AND SEND IT ON.

George Carlin's Views on Aging

Do you realize that the only time in our lives when we like to get old is when we're kids? If you're less than 10 years old, you're so excited about aging that you think in fractions.

'How old are you?' 'I'm four and a half!' You're never thirty-six and a half. You're four and a half, going on five! That's the key

You get into your teens, now they can't hold you back. You jump to the next number, or even a few ahead.

'How old are you?' 'I'm gonna be 16!' You could be 13, but hey, you're gonna be 16! And then the greatest day of your life . . You become 21. Even the words sound like a ceremony . YOU BECOME 21. YESSSS!!!

But then you turn 30. Oooohh, what happened there? Makes you sound like bad milk! He TURNED; we had to throw him out. There's no fun now, you're Just a sour-dumpling. What's wrong? What's changed?

You BECOME 21, you TURN 30, then you're PUSHING 40. Whoa! Put on the brakes, it's all slipping away. Before you know it, you REACH 50 and your dreams are gone.

But wait!!! You MAKE it to 60. You didn't think you would!

So you BECOME 21, TURN 30, PUSH 40, REACH 50 and MAKE it to 60.

You've built up so much speed that you HIT 70! After that it's a day-by-day thing; you HIT Wednesday!

You get into your 80's and every day is a complete cycle; you HIT lunch; you TURN 4:30 ; you REACH bedtime. And it doesn't end there. Into the 90s, you start going backwards; 'I Was JUST 92.'

Then a strange thing happens. If you make it over 100, you become a little kid again. 'I'm 100 and a half!'
May you all make it to a healthy 100 and a half!!

HOW TO STAY YOUNG
1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay 'them.'

2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.

3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. 'An idle mind is the devil's workshop.' And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.

6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love , whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them , at every opportunity.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER :
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

Apple-Guava (From Email)

Me and my husband was at Kepong's Sri Sinar ( Kuala Lumpur ) pasar malam last Saturday, saw this stall selling a "hybrid fruit" of guava & green apple. The seller (an innocent looking auntie) was also kind enough to let us sample the fruit. The fruit are sold in two types of packing, pack of 2 or pack of 3. The pack of 2 wa sold at RM6, while pack of 3 at RM7. The packaging is printed in foreign language (I believe is Thai) with a few graphical image on some fruits. After tasting the sample (which is actually quite tasty, just like guava), we decided to buy 2 x pack of 3 at RM13. When we got home, to our surprise, the fruit is actually peeled guava (the seeded type) shaped to resemble an apple and coated with green colouring. See attached pics. Some of colouring came off after being washed. Not knowing what kind of colouring they use, we didn't dare to eat it even tho the colour only soaked through the outer layer. My brother (who didn't go to the pasar malam with me) told me that he saw this article on a local Chinese newspaper and apparently knew about this trick. He also indicated that these conman has been setting up stalls along highway, targeting at tourists. I hope this message can reach as many people as possible, money is not a big issue here but what if the colouring is poisonous? Especially with so many contaminated foods sold around Asia recently, I think we, as a consumer should be doubly beware on what we buy, let alone eat!!! Spread the message across.

Holiday

2 Weeks off is really good, but my 2 weeks is going to end really soon. That is abit too much as its like not enough. The thing I am worried about now is getting really lazy to go to work this coming Monday but I have to work as I will get a parcel from my friend in Miri. Thanks in advance for the item sis.

Was in Singapore the last couple of days and boy those days really rock. Practically everyday I sleep at 1am, talking with my cousins, uncle and aunties. Was there for my cousin's wedding and I really did enjoy myself the whole time there. One thing is the stay was too short even though we extended an extra day there. Now I kind of regret a little as I didn't get my guitar item even though I was in the shop, but not to fret, I will be in Singapore one day once again :p

HP Story

Ten or more years of mobile phone use increases the risk of developing acoustic neuroma, a benign tumor on the auditory nerve, according to a study released on Wednesday by Sweden's Karolinska Institute.

The risk was confined to the side of the head where the phone was usually held and there were no indications of increased risk for those who have used their mobile for less than 10 years, the Karolinska Institute said in a statement.

The institute, one of Europe's largest medical universities and a clinical and biomedical research center, awards the Nobel Prize in physiology or medicine.

"At the time when the study was conducted only analog mobile phones had been in use for more than 10 years and therefore we cannot determine if there results are confined to use of analog phones or if the results would be similar also after long-term use of digital (GSM) phones," it said.

The mobile phone market is now dominated by GSM phones, which replaced the bulkier and less advanced analog phones in many markets the mid- and late-1990s.

The mobile phone industry has said there is no scientific evidence of negative health effects from use of mobile phones.

The Karolinska Institute said 150 people with acoustic neuroma and 600 healthy people participated in the study.

"The risk of acoustic neuroma was almost doubled for persons who started to use their mobile at least 10 years prior to diagnosis," the institute said.

"When the side of the head on which the phone was usually held was taken into consideration, we found that the risk of acoustic neuroma was almost four times higher on the same side as the phone was held and virtually normal on the other side."

Finland's Nokia is the world's biggest mobile phone maker.

Other large producers include Motorola of the United States, South Korea's Samsung Electronics, Germany's Siemens and Swedish-Japanese joint venture Sony Ericsson.

Global mobile phone sales have been booming as thousands of new users sign up every day and existing subscribers replace their old handsets with new ones, capable of taking pictures or playing music.

Urgent Message from TELEKOM

To those who have a telekom home phone, please read. Here is the original text received from Telekom:

If you get a call from someone identifying himself as a phone technician performing a test, and this person asks you to touch nine( 9 ), zero( 0 ),hash sign ( # ) and then hang up... Please REFUSE TO DO SO! By pushing 90# , you are giving the individual, who called you, access to your telephone line and allowing them to place a long distance call with the charges appearing on your telephone bill.

We were further informed that line scam has been originating from many of the local jails/prisons.

Please pass the word around.

31st December

31st December was the last day I work before I am on leave for 2 weeks and tonight is the last night of 2007. Was actually having a good time working in the morning as I was so excited as I will be on leave for 2 weeks but when it came into the afternoon, the mood started to disappear. I had to do my hand over to my friend so that they won't call me for at least 2 weeks :P

Was in church for the Count Down and I was really tired at that time as I work quite hard that day itself. I thought I will be really relax. But in the end the songs during the watchnight was very lund and that kept me awake alot.

Blessed New Year Everyone
